Senator Kennedy has not even been dead for two full days and the Democrats are reanimating his corpse to speak out on health care reform and to rally the “troops”.
“Ted Kennedy’s dream of quality health care for all Americans will be made real this year because of his leadership and his inspiration,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a statement.
Pelosi’s sentiment was echoed by former vice president Al Gore who served with Kennedy in the Senate. “Ted would want nothing more than for his colleagues to continue his life’s work and to make real his dream of quality health care for all Americans,” said Gore.
It’s grotesque when they reanimate Jesus’ sacred corpse to speak out on behalf of all manner of political tomfoolery and moral abomination, but to do it to a man who’s been dead for less than two full days is just plain macabre. He was here last week; we know what Sen. Kennedy thought about health care. Do they really need to parade him around now and blame this whole boondoggle on him to boot?
